I am happy to report that I was able to get out onto the kayak on Sunday! The moon phase is full, actually called a "Super Moon", and as such, the tides are super low. For most boaters, that's a bummer; for me, it's reason to cheer!
I left from the public boat launch area, same as I did the last time I had a great sink. I like the area as it gets the full effect of the tides but does not have the really stinky muck and the giant crabs (ouch!!).
The tide was rolling out and I couldn't wait to feel surrounded by the thick ooze that was just inches below me and the bottom of the kayak. The smell of sulfur was lingering in the air, a smell I have come to associate with my passion for sinking. When the terrain near the shore no longer looked like terra firma, I knew it was time to hop out of the kayak...
I finally paddled to my destination. My heart was pounding from paddling out as well as from the anticipation.
I was determined to make this a fully pleasurable trip, so I had my phone with me for the "sexting" to my lovely wife and for viewing her photos as I shared mine with her...she was poolside about 15 minutes away! Nothing like seeing her sexy size 9 toes & soles as I am struggling in bottomless mire! I asked her why she though so many people sound like they are in a porno movie when they are, indeed, sinking in quicksand...her answer "because it is squeezing the orgasm right out of you!"
I think she's right.
The top layer was a bit watery, but as I sank deeper, it thickened up and the texture went from somewhat reedy to almost like silken muck, so smooth and debris free that I couldn't get deep enough, despite sinking to my chin! The way the thick sludge undulated around me as I struggled was "inspiring" to say the least. The squishing and farting sounds that came from the muck was about all I needed to seal the deal in the mud...
Videos coming later this week!

Water levels. The great aggravation in the wild.
Very cool.
Very cool.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.
