Poll: What's the Age of the Average Quicksand Fan?

I thought we might go extinct, but the 18-24 group seems healthy size. Good to see there is still new blood even though Hollywood dropped quicksand like a bad habit.

Yeah, that was my hypothesis as well, but then was pleasantly surprised to see the spike in the lower age bracket, and honestly wonder what caused that.

The younger crowd around here(myself included) had the advantage that people were already producing professional quicksand scenes by the time we got here. I remember the original Krystal clip being my big eye opener into the community.

That's a fucking great clip btw. I can never understand how anyone could watch that clip and NOT instantly have a quicksand fetish. Do you mind me asking you then where/how you stumbled across that first clip, and and what age? I realize anecdotal evidence isn't inherently indicative of anything, but it's still somewhat informative. It also makes me wonder what percentage of people here had what I consider to be a late onset of interest in the fetish (I consider "late" to be anything post-puberty).

My honest two cent's on is topic is that I became a fan seeing my first QS scene. I saw From Hell It Came on a late night Monster Movie show called Creature Features. The Tobanga really took Cory for a plop !! and I was just like. That was creepy, and scary and I wanted to see the movie again lol.

And I was only around six years of age. But Tarzan was popular, and so were black and white movies. QS was in lots of movies so I became a fan of all monster movies and jungle movies, just wishing for another QS scene to pop up.

This was in the early 1970's and no VHS for me. So you really had to read the TV guide to hopefully catch a Re-Run to see your favorite scene again. But those were the days for sure. Once a QS fan, always a QS fan

I had been a sticky fan since a very young age (probably due to Wile E. Coyote) but what got me into quicksand as well was the Smurfs episode "Handy's Sweetheart". For those unfamiliar, Smurfette and two others go wading into an ankle-deep pond to get some plant. After grabbing it a voice calls to them with some diatribe about trespassing and paying the price, etc.

The smurfs attempt to leave and find their feet are stuck in gooey, sticky slime under the water. Now for me, at such a young age, seeing even a blue girl in heels basically glued in place was exhilarating. Well after this an imp appears and magically turns the pond into quicksand. They sink up to their noses before being rescued.

It really is. I wanna say I was 12-13ish. I was definitely a part of this community quite a bit earlier than the rules ever allowed. If you were to dig up my old deepsinking account, some of it is embarrassingly bad.

I've said it before, but I was into quicksand long before I made any sexual connection to it. My earliest memory of quicksand was seeing a Tarzan film (now I realize it must have been Tarzan v the Amazons) when two dudes went under in sloppy, slurpy mud, and the fascination never let go. I was around 4 or 5 when I first saw it, and got into a lot of hell from mom when I'd get dirty from jumping into mud hoping for the same effect...

As a grade school and high school kid, I was constantly checking out the local creeks and streams within easy biking distance from home for stuff to sink into. And was mostly successful, but never got beyond the thighs. Coming back university school in the summers, I always tried to fit in a couple of visits to my sinking spots. Tree planting gave me opportunity to sink on the job thanks to some marshy areas we had to plant over. A mining exploration job got me muddy numerous times, and in real quicksand once. That was an interesting experience... cool and scary at the same time. But I got out okay.

It was using this internet thing that I stumbled in my mid-20s upon the community in 1998. Again, looking for photos, and finding out there were a lot of folks out there doing the same thing, but also writing about it, doing art and taking pictures of topless ladies sinking in mud and sand. I also learned to trust complete strangers with my money as I ordered quicksand tapes by the boatload... and never was i disappointed.

Just to give you all a heads up on the Smurf cartoons. The Smurfs had many more Quicksand Scenes that you might be aware of. 1st was the Pussywillow Pixies when Clumsy Smurf crossed Toad River running away from a giant frog.

Panzie yells your only way to safety is to cross the bog. Clumsy swings from a vine only to come up short. The giant frog closes in swimming across the bog. But suddenly Panzie saves Clumsy with a vine. This is the Wartmonger episode.

2nd is the Fox Fire Smurf when Pushover Smurf accidently puts out the foxfire in the Great Swamp. His Journey is to relight the Foxfire so the Marsh Monster can be at peace. But they go through lots of peril in the Great Swamp and there's a pretty good Quicksand Scene in this one.

well im 29 this year. but i have been mudding and sinking into the stuff since i was 12 - 13.

I turned 25 years old this year. I've been aware I've had a sexually driven interest with women in quicksand ever since I hit puberty like many others around 12-13.
