I wish everyone luck in organizing something. I must state, however, that I don't see anyone taking charge. Having organized a variety of things in the past, please allow me to suggest that about the only way something of this nature being put together successfully is usually for one person to say, "Here is the location, time, and cost... who is coming." Even then the probability of success is low but its the only way (in my experience.
In saying "for one person to..." I do not mean to suggest that two or more people might independently propose separate meetings. yes that would represent competition between the two, or more, organizers but as things stand there are none. The originator of this thread did come close to what I am suggesting.

Well, I'm certainly open to someone taking charge on this but have refrained from doing so myself as from what I can tell, no one is interested in the locations I have proposed. Not a lot here for me to work with...

well if individual cost can be kept to under $500ish then you can feel free to count me as a yes.

Allow me to suggest that if a dollar limit includes transportation (and almost certainly it would) it does not help a planner much in the absence of knowledge of where one would be starting from.
