Hickok Finally Gets the Double .45 at Compound

Postby kham » Thu Dec 08, 2016 5:27 pm

The Double 1911

A lot of viewers had been bugging for this one, and well, here you go
Not terribly practical, or for small hands people, but what the hell. No worse than some shotguns or space guns :D

More later, been not the best last couple days, and need to keep replenishing fluids.... :P

Have to agree with the verdict. Well made, functional and expensive conversation piece. For the price I'd rather have a dozen AK's and 20,000 rounds of ammo. :D
I wonder if both barrels have the same direction twist, or opposite. I bet the cavitation of both rounds traveling more or less side by side is causing the random grouping.

Yeah, the price is extreme, normal people need not apply. At least not for practical
Sure pulls like hell to the left; and the spread is all over the paper/gong/whatever
Definitely would have to be some interaction there, yeah. A novelty, but not something to take to Camp Perry :D

The closest thing I've shot to a Galil is a VEPR 7.62x54R (owned by little bro), I did have very little felt recoil for a big caliber rifle. Definitely not terrible, and yea, use the bipod Luke.....lol. A little stabilization goes a long way. On a bench inside 100 yards you'll drive nails. Love the built in bottle opener.
