Hmmmm. At first glance, I doubted that they would be able to see any freeboard near the bow from a passenger area.

But a close look at the Magic shows a very different design from most Carnival boats. The Magic has open passenger decks forward, right down to the crew area at the bow.

A nice design touch, for folks who like to see out the front of the bus. Hehe

The problem is resorts/cruise lines that just hand the keys to people with no experience. Can almost guarantee you they're rentals and the people on them know they're on the ocean because it's waving at them.

Gotcha. Back to on topic...Not to complain, but shouldnt resorts also be held accountable? If they loaned them out to untrained 1d10ts(or asshats), shouldnt they be deemed responsible by damaging the cruise liner or having people risk their lives of the ignorant lessees?
