2017 NHL Playoffs

Postby kham » Mon Apr 10, 2017 4:52 pm

Matchups are finalized

East
Toronto at Washington
Columbus at Pittsburgh
NY Rangers at Montreal
Boston at Ottawa

Different matches, and non-mathematical .... I can only assume the fucking midget and his retard logic responsible

West
Nashville at Chicago
St Louis at Minnesota
Calgary at Anaheim
San Jose at Edmonton

Again with the non-math matches. Edmonton probably the most excited out west; hope they don't get too excited and do dumb things
President's trophy curse on Caps this year; so Leafs aren't as long shot than people think. Hawks. Penguins, they still one of deadliest playoff teams. But I think they were stronger last year. I refuse to consider Montreal even on general principles :D
Be aware Melisa Nicole's Blues are in, so that's her choice ;)

Nice to see so many Canadian based teams in this year compared to.... uh,,,, NONE.

Could be an interesting second season. :)

5/7 total. Good average in anyone's book. And will be interesting. Coaching in Toronto? I'd love to be Mike Babcock; not only, are you dealing with adversity. All the jitters of a bunch of kids. You also have literally, nothing to lose. And Kids, don't know the culture of Lose. They want to win. And you have the potential Calder Winner leading the way.
I'd HATE to be coaching Washington

Gee whiz, one period in and the fucking Canadiens are whining already. Way to prove my point

Tonight's Games:

Boston at Ottawa
NY Rangers at Montreal... :D
Columbus at Pittsburgh
St Louis at Minnesota
San Jose at Edmonton

No, that's not a typo; Edmonton has home ice. God bless 'em. I just hope they don't come unglued with not only back in playoffs, but an actual serious contender. Got supplies for late night. Chinese about to get heated. Beer icing. Pretzels on standby. Cookies when things get late and need energy

Rangers take game 1, 2-0 shutout. First time in 34 years. Thats Thirty-Four YEARS that the Canadiens have been shut out in a playoff game. Gee. Someone last year (ME) might have mentioned something, like, Montreal needs to get someone to score goals. Price can't score goals AND stand on his head. And here we are. Price was good, if he hadn't been, Rangers would have mopped the ice with them

Other games in work, and I got to figure out WTF happened in Ottawa....

It had been 1-0 Ottawa, with all the rah-rah; I stuck to the Montreal game, and never left the chair so no updates missed. Must have been 2 quick ones, good goaltending by Rask, and their rookie sensation played very well. 2-1 Boston for the win. They haven't even done an autopsy, which tells me a lot of whinage going on somewhere

St Louis/Minnesota just underway, anthem time in Edmonton. Pitt still playing , final soon looks
