President's trophy curse on Caps this year; so Leafs aren't as long shot than people think. Hawks. Penguins, they still one of deadliest playoff teams. But I think they were stronger last year. I refuse to consider Montreal even on general principles

Rangers take game 1, 2-0 shutout. First time in 34 years. Thats Thirty-Four YEARS that the Canadiens have been shut out in a playoff game. Gee. Someone last year (ME) might have mentioned something, like, Montreal needs to get someone to score goals. Price can't score goals AND stand on his head. And here we are. It had been 1-0 Ottawa, with all the rah-rah; I stuck to the Montreal game, and never left the chair so no updates missed. Must have been 2 quick ones, good goaltending by Rask, and their rookie sensation played very well. 2-1 Boston for the win. They haven't even done an autopsy, which tells me a lot of whinage going on somewhere
