But i honestly have to ask you, if you have ever been in real deep mud outside your backyard. So they wallow through deep (and obviously watery/very soft stuff) until it gets too deep. After their waders are flooded they easily manage to slip out of them and get out of the bog. How exactly is this going to work?
In fact this kind of situation is one of worst things that could happen to inexperienced explorers. They would have been totally helpless in this situation.

And the other thing: Now one here is interested in this gross "needing-a-toilet-stuff".

My advice: Just stay more focused on the actual stuck-, gradually sinking-, difficult extrication-part. Wearing boots or waders makes this challenging enough.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind for my next story.

I had a lot of second thoughts about that part. But, through revision after revision, I thought it could be a funny plot part. But, apparently not so much.

Oh, and about the slipping out of the waders... The deepest mud I have ever encountered is thigh-deep, but I didn't need to slip out of the waders. So I have never really had experience with getting waders stuck. Maybe next year.
