Watch Your Step in the Martian Bogs

It was the year 3521. Mars had finished being terraformed just 8 Earth years ago. Tessa was on a tourist trip from the Titan colony to Mars, and with futuristic technology, it only took her a few hours in her personal travel pod. She landed at Transition City, where the Northern Ice Cap Basin Sea met the continent of Lequitua. Transition City was surrounded by mudflats, bogs, swamps, and marshes on land, making it nearly impossible to leave on foot. There were many floating bridges and amphibious roads to other cities that had no spaceports.

Getting off her ship, she rented a hovercar and went on Katlya Road, one of the many amphibious roads across the marshes.

"Come on! Don't run out of hydrogen now!" Tessa's hovercar broke down along a turn. She was forced to get out and walk back to the city. But the amphibious road had been fragile for a year, since it had been built, because it was for hovering vehicles. But, forced to walk, Tessa decided to take a shortcut through the marsh. She was confused about why it was a marsh, since the land looked covered with moss. But, stepping on the moss, she realized she was wrong.

Tessa's foot broke through the mica-like moss layer and instantly sank into knee-deep mud. She was wearing orange rubber boots, but they only filled and got stuck as she put both her feet into the mud. The mud was warm, thick, and smelled like lilacs.

"Perhaps this stuff isn't so bad!" said Tessa.
"My clothes have special cleaner threads because they were made in this city! I wish they had come with a thing to get me out of this situation, though!"

Five minutes later, Tessa had sank to her waist. Her pants had filled, making her have an orgasm as the mud seeped around her woman area. But this shook the mud more, making Tessa sink more. She completely lost her sexual arousal out of fear. Then, a new sound came: the bog bubbling. It was bubbling as much as boiling water. This shook the mud even more, and Tessa sank to just below her breasts. At this point, instinct shot into Tessa, and she took her shirt and bra off, letting her bare breasts be exposed to the air. She tied them together and threw them towards the road, trying to make a rope. But they just broke into the mud and embedded themselves. Now she realized she was hopeless. Then she heard a voice from the road.

"Gotten a bit stuck, have you?" A mysterious girl with dirty-blonde hair wearing armpit-high chest waders was standing on the road.

"Please help! You look like you're dressed for mud!" replied Tessa.

"My name's Jekobi. I'm a member of the Transition City Quicksand Rescuers, or TCQR," replied the girl. Jekobi stepped into the mud, and Tessa was amazed at the girl's ability to wade through the incredibly thick bog. But, then the mud shifted under Tessa, and she sank deeper. She was now stuck breast-deep, and no longer sinking.

"Just stay there and I will rescue you," said Jekobi, wading through the bog towards Tessa. Jekobi sank deeper with every step, and soon she was at the depth where the mud was about to touch her breasts, but she was wearing tall waders, so it didn't matter.

"Getting a bit stuck, are you?" asked Tessa as Jekobi reached her.

"No, I'm fine," replied Jekobi. But as she grabbed on to Tessa, she was proven wrong. The two girls sank to just below their shoulders. The mud was on the verge of filling Jekobi's waders.

"Feeling the mud pressure?" asked Jekobi.

"Yeah. It's not as thick as the methane mud on Titan, like Huygens landed in, but it is thick," replied Tessa. Then the bubbling started around Jekobi, and she sank over the tops of her waders.

"Oh god... I joined the TCQR when I was 12, as a junior volunteer, and until now, being 20, I only sank this deep when I was rescuing someone with a friend a few days after I joined, and it was terrifying. But, my seniors taught me to inflate the life vest that the agency gives all volunteers one of. Well, time to apply this knowledge to now," said Jekobi, inflating her life vest. Immediately, Tessa's boots sank away from her, and Jekobi's waders slipped off as the two rose back to their waists.

"Now to get out of the bog," said Jekobi. As Jekobi started pulling Tessa, Tessa's pants were sucked off, leaving her completely naked.

"I hope you have a hose and spare clothes in your vehicle," said Tessa as they reached the edge of the mud.

"Here," said Jekobi as she revealed a gigantic pool of water from a panel in the road that opened.

"Wash off in there."

While Tessa cleaned up in the waster, Jekobi searched for clothes for Tessa. She found the perfect shirt: one that read, I was rescued by the Transition City Quicksand Rescue! http://www.tcqr.mars Since 3509! The shirt showed a girl in chest waders like Jekobi's rescuing another girl in a light orange shirt. Just like what had happened.

"Ok, got some clothes for me?" asked Tessa, who had finished washing off.

"Here you go. They're yours to keep!" replied Jekobi.

Looking through the clothes, Tessa noticed something.

"Don't you have a bra?" she asked.

"Eh, if you just survived quicksand, you can be daring enough to not need a bra," said Jekobi dismissively.

"But I could drive you back to the sky port and fly you back to Titan if you want," she offered.

"Ok!" replied Tessa.

"Want to hear a muddy story from a year before I joined the TCQR, when I lived on Earth?" asked Jekobi.

"Ok, on the way to Titan," replied Tessa.

The two boarded Tessa's ship, and took off. Jekobi turned on the autopilot, and turned to Tessa.

"Story time!"

I used a special tactic to make this story a special length: have one of the main characters tell a mud/QS story after the main story is finished; storyception or a story within a story, so to speak. The other stuff I feel like I do not need to explain unless someone asks me.

Yes, the substory includes two kids aged 11 and 9, but they are not part of the main story, but instead they are part of a main character reminiscing about their past.

Prefacing this by stating that I am not into pedophelia myself, and obviously, real-life child porn is abhorrent. That being said, I personally believe that the restriction of age for a fictional character depicted in a piece of literature or art should be considered free speech, but most probably wouldn't agree with that.

So the story, in my opinion, does not involve underage kids.

Unfortunately, this isn't really an "opinion" kind of matter. It factually does involve underage persons.

But I am willing to remove the substory if anyone disagrees with me about whether or not the substory makes the main story involve underage people.

In regards to underage characters, I recently had my "Passing Grade" story struck off deviantART for depicting underage characters in a sexual situation. I disputed this removal (for those who haven't read, the story opens with one conversation in school; the remainder of the story and the "sexual" experience were set three years later in an 18+ scenario). This was not accepted by dA, with the reply that they do not accept material in which the characters are artificially aged to portray them in adult situations.

While I understand that they're protective of their terms of service and rules, I was a little taken back by this infringement, especially with the connotation that the writer intentionally states an older age to exploit underage characters, as opposed to character development, coming of age and passage of time. But, the word was "Hey, there's a child somewhere in your story, therefore it's underage".

This is a hot button issue right now. In the last few years, battles have been fought in court over underage fictional characters in internet stories. So far, Free speech has won out, but the justice system and it's legion of nazi's never let a little thing like the constitution stop them. With each case, prosecutors and judges have tried there best to make this a crime, trying to apply other laws to it such as "You can only write it for yourself, but if you distribute it it's a felony and considered distribution of child pornography." That's not even the worst one, they've tried a lot of shit to get around free speech. Eventually they'll find something.

While I loath child pornography, I do support free speech. As of right now, underage literature is not illegal as long as it's a fictional character. If this weren't the case we wouldn't have the classic "Lolita" which is considered a great novel. However, sites and forums (like this one and DA) have the right to censor. If they don't want stories featuring clowns, there won't be any stories featuring clowns.

No one here should be judging, we're here because we get hot and bothered over sinking in QS. You want to write about poop, go for it. You wrote a story with fictional underage characters. Long as they're fictional, you did nothing wrong. The forum may not allow such stories, so you may want to avoid posting them here, but beyond that, your good my man, at least from a legal stand point. Morally...well that's another story, but what do i know, i get my jollies from grim endings in QS stories.
