A Speck of Dirt

It's been an age since I last posted a story here. I'm pretty much written out as far as DS stories are concerned. Some of you may be aware that last year I collected my old stories, added a batch of new ones, and self-published. I didn't exactly expect to make the Times Best-Seller Lists, but all I have to show for my efforts are four pittances in four separate currencies, plus one coruscatingly-vicious review from someone I must have upset at some point.

So it goes.

But I don't like the fact that I put so much work into the new stories only them to be read by virtually no-one; so here's one. I quite like it.
