why do I keep getting loged off even after clearing the board cookies and checking log in automaticly?

i had that back at the old site when i used to try to log in thru AOL... for some reason, it never would recognize that i was still logged in... so now, i dont even try with AOL, i use IE.... so maybe change which browser you use?

Also, the login cookie is set to expire after 14 days.

I find I get logged out sometimes if my browser crashes.

I don't know if this is still a factor because I do not know the logic of how the validity of a login cookie is determined, but logouts more frequent than usual used to be possible if one's system clock is not set correctly, as may occur if your system battery is weak or dead.
