Back again with more!
Here's a weird uphill sink, from the comic Blueberry, a European comic about a soldier in the Old West. I believe the comic was originally French, but is in the Dutch langauge here.

Any idea of where to get some Manga scenes with Quicksand? Because you don't know how hard it is to find some good Manga with some quicksand moments.
Also if there are Manga quicksand scenes, are they posted on a different topic?

To answer in order... I wish I did. Manga qs is awesome, if I could find it... I did post at DS the scene from Drifting Classroom where a couple of school boys get sucked under when a dried sea bed gets soaked in rain and turns to quickmud. There have been a couple of other scenes posted by others over at DS too within the last six months... but yeah, they are rare. I'll see if I can dig those up.
If I do find any new ones, this will be the place they'll appear at.

Re: Comic book sinking scenes!
Okay... now for something slightly different.
The magazine Witches Tales (1969 to mid-1970s) had a habit of obtaining older comics and blatantly ripping them off, rerunning their stories as new, not even changing the dialogue.... but sometimes changing the art work.
I've posted this over at DS before, but not here, and it is too good a scene not to have here... so imagine my surprise when, in another issue of the same magazine series, I spot the exact same story, but with different artwork. I suspect this is the original art, but reprinted in black and white.
So, just for comparison and for fun, here's both the 1970's version, and the 1950's original, of a cool quicksand scene from Swamp Witch...

Re: Comic book sinking scenes!
Thanks for all the kind words! I'm glad folks are liking these.
That last posting is a personal fav, as it has all the elements of what I love in a dramatic sinking... a bad girl, a desperate chase through a murky swamp, and a dose of natural justice...
I still have quite a few more which I'll be posting soon... stay tuned....
