1959 Hound Of The Baskervilles Grimpen Mire Scene!

Postby Boggy Man » Wed Jan 27, 2010 9:47 am

I know that this scene from Hammer's 1959 "Hound Of The Baskervilles" has been around before, but not seen in quite some time. So, I found parts of the movie on YouTube and downloaded part 9, which had the scene of interest. I made two extractions of the scene. But currently, both MegaVideo links give me the message "This video is unavailable.", so only the download links work. I will leave the video links up in hope that they do eventually become available on MegaVideo. So, after downloading, I hope no one has any problems with these clips:

This first clip is the full Grimpen Mire scene from start to end. Enjoy! 8-)

File Size: 1.1 MB

Instant Video Link (has been unavailable, but hopefully, that will change):

This second clip is a "tighter" version, containing only the best part, the sink! :D If you set your player to loop or repeat, then you can sit back and watch the female victim fall in and sink again and again and again, the repetition giving you quite an eyeful of the Grimpen Mire in action! I even added the instructions to the filename. But, I discovered that VLC appears to have a glitch, ending videos prematurely, which is very noticeable in this short clip. :( So, try using a different viewer for this one. Enjoy! 8-)

File Size: 310.48 KB (that's KILObytes)

Oh yeah! One of my favourite quicksand / bog scenes . . .the mire looks very inviting, just a pity it's such a short scene. Many thanks for posting this :) :)

I know. :( I had already mentioned it in my post:

I decided to highlight the above statement in my original posting so it will stand out, and added a reminder before each link.
