Drove by there once whilst on the way too and from the annual Liverpool Beatles festival, no shortage of tidal mud but then again, that is the problem, it is the typical somewhat sandy tidal mud, not pluff mud. Any sand component in tidal mud makes it quite dangerous. There are better places to play in England, they have nice quarry mud here and there. If you've just got to have tidal mud, the place for that is the River Severn mudflats and the mud is not as sandy...
