Disappearing Act, by request

Postby Weapon X » Tue May 26, 2009 2:23 am

As requested by Swift, this is the poser story Disappearing Act, done by Old Code. Since this piece is about 7 years old, I wasn't sure if I was able to get ahold of Old Code to ask his permission. I also believe Pete Boggs did some drawings of this series, which dates back even farther than when this was done. Just to let you know, I do NOT deserve credit, this was all done by Old Code!

Edit: qsvitguy, who I just found out is also Old Code, posted his work on another thread:

As it is HIS work to begin with, I am taking down the zip file that I uploaded on here. To download the .zip file, please follow the link to his thread.

That is pretty damn cool.

What's also cool is that if you are watching it as a slideshow, then when it gets to the end and repeats it seems like some kind of timeloop... she wakes up in the middle of nowhere lost and confused, sinks in quicksand, then wakes up and finds herself lost and confused in the middle of nowhere... heh.

Not to take anything away from Old Code, I like his work, but this was originally a Pete Boggs comic. In fact I believe it was the first he published. I thought the artwork was pretty impressive especially when you consider what was available at the time. My real dream would be for someone to publish all of Pete's old work online. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

That needs a seperate thread Dunc, and more free time :D

Remember the original series well, and this a fine poser tribute. Always thought we needed to film this one someday... ;)

Ok , here are the originals, scanned full size for your viewing pleasure. :)

Short and sweet, and some of the first qs art I ever purchased (back in caveman pre-internet era....) still looks great today. Major kudos to Pete for this and all his other fine artworks .
