quicksand in 'the glades'?

i've just discovered this new series which seems set in florida and the everglades. for such a perfect setting have any stories featured quicksand yet?
sites n forums bout gals in quicksand cos guys luv chicks who are dirtee n wet!

That has never been a topic within any program about the Everglades that I have seen. Louisiana Bayous, maybe, but not the ecologically-interesting Everglades

Didn't that story way back in the day in Readers Digest about a backpacker dying in quicksand occur in the Everglades?

There was an article in Reader's Digest years back about killer quicksand in Alaska, but I can't recall anything in Florida. The title of the article was (guess?)... "Quicksand".
