I have come across at least one free program that is described as enabling anyone with a color printer to print their own calendar using their own image files. I have not obtained or attempted to use the product, but the one I have seen works on one's own machne - it is not an online sort of service.
I wonder if anyone here has used such a program. Obviously making a calendar with a quicksand theme would likely apply only to those not put into an awkward position by observation of such an item but perhaps someone here has made such a calendar with some other theme.

I'm taking a rain check on this one- I've got way too many 'free' calendars as it is.

Re: Make your own calendar?
You may have misunderstood. I am not offering a calendar. I am asking if anyone has used the software.

There's a couple online services that I've used to create good, high quality calendars in the past, but they cost some amount of money. I know Microsoft publisher has more than one calendar template, which are customizable to a fairly high degree, I think. You could even print to cardstock or photopaper to enhance the final product.

Thank you. This is the kind of info I thought people would find useful. With the many, many thousands of quicksand stills now in existence some people may want to make their own themed calendars.

This
https://www.vertex42.com/calendars/photo-calendar.html
and this
http://www.homemade-gifts-made-easy.com ... plate.html
are the templates I refer to. I have not tried either. Most of the other things you will find are services where you have to upload the pictures. Those might have content restrictions, I suppose.

Re: Make your own calendar?
On the Mac, there is an app called "Photos", which allows you to put together a custom calendar, and then you can print it off yourself (generally for proofreading, although you could just use it for printing the final copy on your own printer), or you can purchase (order) it, and receive it professionally done.

I have been making a simple custom calendar for my aunt each year ("bare bones" b/w, using sans serif font and large numbers for maximum readability from across a room), using OpenOffice's presentation editor, and printing it out on Canon Matte Photo paper.
