Marla Landi - Baskerville
Here is a cool still I saw online of Marla Landi as she bound across the grimpen mire in the '59 Hammer House version of "Hound of the Baskervilles"...

Oh yes ! One of the best ( But all too short ) sinking scenes ever, and Marla was certainly a very attractive victim of the mire.

MPV need to remake that scene and do it properly! In many ways it was part inspiration for my signature, as part of a much longer story which sadly will probably never get written now...
Oh tosh! Tanya retorted, quicksand churning,
Round her knees, then thighs, then oh dear!
It got intimate with her hips and her panties,
And squished rather funnily up her rear!

Love that image. One of the great things about all the Hammer studios movies was the way they filled the screen with atmosphere. Great lighting always got the scenes and sets looking gloomy, lavish, and big budget. Great stuff. A lot of lessons there with this scene, When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth, Frankenstein, etc.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for over 20 years. Thank you.

I always wished that sinking scene was like three minutes longer. It's yummy.

Wasn't there an interview where she talks about that scene? I seem to recall one, but cannot find it anywhere.
