This is a reply to a comment by Gamwam in the thread about sinking all the way. I post it as a separate thread as it is off topic as far as the original thread topic is concerned.

You may be interested in a story very recently published in an anthology of short stories called Medium Chill, Issue #1. The story involves a male character named Wade. He is dressed as a hunter but not in chest waders. I wrote the story quite a long time ago. The author/editor of the anthology is Rhonda Baughman, who has done quite a few video scenes for me as Rachelle Williams. The book is available at Amazon - ISBN No. 9781985792388. The story is almost the only one with a male character I ever wrote - there are one or two with both male and female characters.

thanks for the advice fred - afraid i have a book allergy (itchy eyes)! lol,. im a creature of visual stimulus and frankly no matter how riveting any book is i get fed up faffing around with pages and quickly become bored,... im really not a great book reader - video is right up my street, but releases are virtually non existent

In further follow-up: first I am promoting the book only in the senses that I contributed to it and I know the editor. I have no financial interest in the book itself.

Second, I think the reference to "my advise" was a reference to some advice or suggestions I gave somewhere else. Getting a custom scene made MIGHT turn out to be fairly expensive or it MIGHT be considerably cheaper than those I normally do. Everything would depend on whether or not the person performing the sink wished to be paid or was willing to do it free. I rather expect that person would want to be paid. If so, that person would probably want to be paid for a full day, and that would make it cost about four to five times as much as most customs. That's unfortunate but its reality. If someone was willing to do it without being paid then the cost would drop to a third of what a regular custom would be. I suppose someone might do it to get to play in the pits but then whomever commissioned the scene would have to be satisfied with whomever the performer was.

Just out of curiosity:
Does the "re-sell-potential" of a particular custom scene affect the price i would have to pay for a custom one?
Example:
My story more or less re-enacted with
A: A female model that loses her rainjacket and shirt in some attempt to rescue herself (Nudity)
B: The same model keeps her heavy rubber-gear on
C: A male model (no idea if "topless" makes a difference)

My guess would be that A would be most popular because B is a smaller niche and C an even smaller one

Yes, in most cases.

The producer bidding on a custom scene will calculate that bid based on the anticipated total return. The calculation also includes the expectation of what producing the scene will cost.

Different producers might have different views on what that return is likely to be and some may have means to influence the cost as well, and some may have ideas or connections that might enable them to sell more or them to others. The upper end, cost-wise, would be just about equal to what it would cost the custom client to become the producer (assuming extant possession of or access to the equipment and editing software, and knowledge.
