Deep sinking help

I have only used a more or less standard divers-snorkel. When the head is held up and tilted back as far as possible i'm able to sink about one feet below the surface or maybe a couple inches deeper. I don't dare to sink deeper than that, because my bog has think, pure sticky mud in it that hinders breathing and holds me in place. Getting back up to the surface is a delicate matter. Wrong moves do definately lead to deeper sinking and that would become extremely dangerous in no time.

if its the sort of mud thats in your youtube videos you can forget getting anywhere near under in it,. its far to thick and dense - u will be lucky if you get anymore than waste deep in that

It is possible to sink all the way under in such thick mud.
It's a really bad idea though, that stuff will be super heavy and probably hinder all of your movements, even of your upward stretched arms. Breathing will also become difficult in a short time. Keep contact with the surface and have a sinking-partner who can pull you up!
