Hmm. That's right. Then I'll add them here later. I don't know if there's an Indian movie on YouTube, but there are definitely others. And in this regard, I ask - how to give a link so that it immediately comes out at the right moment? If, for example, the USSR film lasts the standard time for the film, then others are already TV series. And what does OG? Original mean?

OG is short for 'original gangster'. It was a term used by black americans to denote either literally an established gangster, or more broadly an experienced person who commands respect, a survivor. OG soon came into wider use, as a way of saying 'original' with two syllables instead of three. At first it was sort of for humorous effect - a person leading a more comfortable/safe life is not considered fit to evaluate what is and isn't 'gangster', and it sounds funny when they try - so why not just call everything 'gangster' and hope you're right some of the time? The humor has long expired by now, but because OG is faster to say and type, it remains in wide use, and I've met young people who use it without knowing what the letters stand for.

As for versions, I haven't seen the one out of India, but of the other three, the Soviet one is the best. The bog isn't just water, the actress is very beautiful and sells the scene, and the black and white filming makes the swamp look more eerie and otherworldly.

The Russian/Chinese version had some good points to it - It's the longest version with 20 episodes, and puts in a decent amount of time building up dread of the swamp before episode 17, when Lisaveta tries to cross it alone. Most of the sink is watery, but they took the time to film a close-up of her face slow-motion submerging in opaque but thin mud.

That makes sense as a backronym, but I am certain I never heard or saw OG used in place of 'original' before 'original gangster' came into mainstream use.

Lol Sorry! The original Russian version. I know there was a remake done in a form of a series but not sure which one that is. Never seen the Indian version however if it is anything like the Bollywood iterations of QS before it, I will keep my expectations low lol. Not sure what the 4th is that I am missing so 2 out of the 4 I am unfamiliar with.

It has multiple uses. OG can mean all the above mentioned and I have heard it used in all those forms. It’s become a much more casual way to say “original” or “1st generation” these days.

I voted with the majority for the original Russian scene, which I had seen many times before. I had not seen any of the others. The acting in the Indian scene was quite good, but there really was only water there, and the actress had to fake the presence of quicksand on the bottom. The original venue was the only one IMO that was actually a “quicksand” scene. Just my opinion.
