Recently I’ve been struggling to find new sinking spots. I’m newer to this community, but have always had a thing for sinking. Even before finding out about sinkers being a thing, I’ve found myself a few spots just from exploring. These are all just tidal spots however.
Recently I took a regular family vacation to another country, where my family owns a quarry, (how perfect is that). There is awesome mud in the back of the property, but I’ve never gotten into the situation to explain me sinking back there. I’ve gone out and said, “ I’m exploring the property” but usually we’d all go out as a group and I could never find myself back there by-myself. Anyways the last trip was the closest I got to actually sinking, but I couldn’t because the situation just didn’t allow it. It’s super frustrating.
Anyways, unfortunately, it’ll be at least a year before I go back to visit I’ve made the choice to try and find something similar where I actually live.
So my question to the community is, how do you all find quarry spots, and go about sinking in them? I’m mostly concerned about trespassing onto active quarry sites. So ideally, I’d be able to find abandoned sites, that are no longer in use, where I wouldn’t be impeding on any sort of operations.
My first thought was ChatGPT, and it led me to plenty of places. But what is the correct way to go about figuring out which places are safe, won’t be a problem, or out-of-the-way, etc. Are there any real full proof, quarry spots, where you wouldn’t be trespassing? (Or at least any spots where people won’t care).
By the way I’m in the north Florida area. Thanks for the help guys!

Just about every quarry is gonna involve trespassing, but Sundays seem to be a good day to do some exploring - especially if it's in a very rural area.

As I understand it the main security concern from the quarry's point of view is theft of machinery and vehicles. So if you stay away from anything like that you're less likely to be caught. But it's always a risk. It's why I try and stick to messing around in the mud and avoid crossing the line into indecency; the jerking off can wait until I get home.

I hope you're aware of the recent incident in Melrose, Florida.

Parking a vehicle anywhere near there is going to draw attention. I suspect other local quarries are aware of the incident too.

Sneaking in to the right place has become considerably more difficult over the years. There's no substitute for doing your homework and learning what you are getting into. Liability concerns have led to more fences and cameras everywhere you go.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Access problem get worse every year. Though I've yet to encounter a trail camera, uh, at least that I was aware of, my new concern is the proliferation of drones operated by quarry security.
