Hello

Postby Quick26 » Sun Apr 08, 2012 1:04 pm

I'm new here I have liked watching girls sink in quicksand since I was a little kid. Then when I was almost 15 I got a Natinol Geographic for kids. And they had an artical about teenage scientist exploring the mountains. They had a picture when a lot of them were in the woods getting dirty in mud for fun. That was in the late 90's. I'm handicap but I would like to go and take nature photography in the wetlands and if I'm by my self I would like to sink in some quicksand or mud. Are there good places to look at the Southeast coast of the US?

I do not know about your area but there is a thread here with locations on it.

What I do is not exactly rocket science. I look on maps for wet places that are on parks or wildlife management areas and I go to them. It really does take a long time to find something but eventually I score.

I'm like you. My quicksand thing goes way back. It is so long ago that I don't even remember when it started.

Since I'm handicap I still live at home with my parents and mom douse not like me walking alone in the woods. Last month I was looking for salamanders in a pond with a huge group of volunteers. I had boots on and I love the squishy feeling as I walked. I just need to figure out how I can go alone or with another friend with out family members. I love nature and exploring that's a big plus but since I'm handicap that's the down side.
