The Croods (moved from Nuggets)

Postby Lomax » Tue Apr 02, 2013 3:54 pm

Just taken the kids to see this. I've had to watch some horrors as a parent (Diary of a Wimpy Kid III, Alvin and the F&£"?!#g Chipmunks I, II & III...) but this, though it started unpromisingly, managed to work in some rather good (if unsophisticated) gags.

And it had a sinking scene. Not one that our community will regard as a classic, but I have to admit that a sinky waterfall was novel.
In order to make an apple pie from scratch you first have to create the universe.

Pixar has a knack for making movies that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. I can honestly say I've never seen a movie by them I didn't enjoy.

While I agree wholeheartedly with your statement regarding Pixar's quality (excluding Cars and Cars 2), The Croods is a Dreamworks picture, not Pixar, who have had a, let's say, less than stellar track record.
