Idea for a reality show

This may seem a bit silly, but then what isn't in recent TV. I propose that there should be a "reality" show with a title something like "Reality in the Movies" in which contestants have to survive in an environment full of things from the movies. Since this is essentially impossible, it would really be a movie ABOUT a reality show involving things from the movies. The contestants all arrive on some unknown island for the contest and soon find themselves facing monsters, pirates, quicksand, and who knows what else. If its been in a movie it could be there.

That sounds similar to the movie "Stay Tuned", starring John Ritter and Pam Dawber, who play a couple who get sucked into a hellish television world where they are put through a number of twisted movie and television show parodies which they must survive for 24 hours, otherwise their souls will go to Satan.

I never heard of that movie but it does sound similar

The Running Man comes to mind, although the Stephen King novella is better than the movie, which still was good. Man vs. (take your pick of perils). It would work.
