Quickhands in "The Forest" - minor spoiler alert

Postby sixgunzloaded » Mon Jan 11, 2016 3:27 pm

Just saw it this morning, so here's a brief report. There is a short scene near the very end of the movie where Sarah (Natalie Dormer) is grabbed around the legs and pulled into the ground. It's fairly short, maybe 15 - 20 seconds I guess, but she puts up a nice little struggle. The movie, overall, is not bad but I would recommend the matinee. I got the $6.50, before noon price and I would have been ok shelling out $10 for it but no more than that. It's not ground breaking by any means but the setting is suitably creepy. Especially, since it seems to be an actual place in real life where people go to do this sort of thing. Very disturbing, but on the other hand if one is determined to off him/herself, it seems somehow a little more considerate or respectful to go do it in a semi-private place rather than in full view of everyone like so many people do everywhere else. I.E. jumping off a bridge/building, stepping out into traffic, throwing one's self in front of train in a subway station... The rest of us don't want to witness that shit... :? Sorry if that sounds insensitive, it's not intended to be.
Anyway, just a reflection after learning about this phenomenon. Go see the movie if you want a cool little sinking scene. Not great, but not bad either. :)
How long did Tarzan watch before deciding to save Jill..?
