Really?! VICE is what got you hooked?

Maybe I will have an eternal legacy of some kind after all.

Welcome! Glad you had such a great experience. I'm a fellow "doer" and not just a "watcher."

I'm going to be scouting some potential locations along a bike trail myself. The spots I'm looking at are "off the beaten path" so trail users shouldn't be a problem.

Very good story.. i have not gotten into it. Im in ohio and hard to find the right one, so eventally I'll wait till I buy my country home and then can build homemade sinking pit, probably with peat. :)

I will be traveling up to Mt St Helens in the near future, and on the sink map I was glad to find a report of a great hidden mud spot just a little ways off the route I'm taking.
I’m not the person I was in 2016.

Be aware that after the eruption in 1980 six new kinds of infectious organisms producing a flu or legionella-like illness were discovered in the blast area and some scientists became ill. I believe these were more or less self-limiting flu-like illnesses but in the event you become ill after your visit be certain to tell your doctor where you were.
