The director said that the gear was quite heavy for the girls - they were carrying real greatcoats and Mosin rifles. Then the girls spoke about the horrors of the swamp - there were snags on the bottom so they could stumble on them. The girl who played the role of Lisa Brichkina (who had to drown in the swamp) told that she was afraid because she really has a phobia of drowning so that role was a challenge for her (she was smiling when she told it). The girl who lost her boot in the swamp was walking there in her sock, so she told that she was in great danger there. The girls also mentioned that there was some real ooze in the water. The director then said that they were well-prepared - they had doctors on the scene and a lot of sedative, and they also were ready to use force to make the girls to go into the water, but the girls were good enough to do it on their own. Then the girls started to happily explain how they enjoyed the scene under the waterfall where they were naked, and despite they hadn't experience of such explicit scenes before they were proud to demonstrate their bodies... In general, the people's comments are such - the new movie was shot for today's youth who would not watch the movie of 1972. The older people should better not watch the new movie. Honestly, I would not watch it anyway. I guess it is not bad. Not bad at all. The problem is that I grew up long ago and I remember what people were telling about the war back then. There were many people who took part in the war then. Now they can say anything they want - I don't buy it. Our history is turning into fantasy. Okay, that's what must happen. But I haven't lost my memories yet.
Those girls are of the same age as my daughter, and they definitely don't know (and don't want to know) more about the War than she does.
And, don't expect anything of the bog scene. Unlike the movie of 1972, there was no real quagmire. There was just water (with some invisible ooze and some similarly invisible scary snags). And there was no way they could shot anything that was described in the novel. As I mentioned on this forum before, in the novel Lisa Brichkina got stuck in the ice-cold quagmire and struggled to get out until she passed out of cold and then drowned. It took her more than several seconds. It was more about an hour or so...
