The same applies for me sinking in person. For me, peat is the sort of thing you sink in with clothes on, and sort of "accidentally on purpose" find a deep spot. Folks on the forum who are "doers" and not just "watchers" probably know what I'm talking about- that electric thrill when you realize that the bog is just a little bit deeper than you thought, and you can't touch bottom.

And floating neck-deep in a pit of smooth, warm clay is- divine.

Depends. Peat for dramatic and spooky scenes, clay for erotic.

I'm not much of a person who enjoys sinking (yet). Maybe someday, maybe it just takes getting used to. I dunno. I would probably vote for peat though.

Peat for video. It looks so natural.

Clay for play...and for video, just, if it isn't a natural location, I have to suspend a little disbelief.

If it is a natural location, then that's like hitting gold, but I'm okay with unnatural clay too.

Personally, I prefer natural instances of peat or clay, especially if there are cases where there is no other option but to traverse them. Because of that, I could also say that crossing those kinds of bogs is much more interesting than forcing oneself under. Also, getting covered in clay or similar substances while clothed is another plus for me, if I were to choose between peat or clay sinking.
