I remember thinking that it was an April Fool's joke when it was announced on April 1'st, 7 years ago, that "Deep Sinking" was eliminating all "R" rated material from their site, but it turned out to be no joke. :( But, it was a move which soon after led to the birth of "Quicksand Fans", a very live and vibrant site! :D Happy Birthday Quicksandfans!!!!! :D And, a big thanks to everyone who have helped make this site what it is today! :D

I went back and checked - I was the fourth member and thus far the fourth most prolific poster. Much of that came early on but I want to remain engaged. This place has been here for seven years for a reason. QSF has been the longest single home I've had to share this interest with everyone else beginning with Usenet, Splosh, the MPV BBS, and on through to DS where I spent four interesting years. I like to think this has become our "forever" home.

We're getting old, Dunc :D Lucky #13 here, and it sure doesn't feel like that long
Still, could be worse. Anyone remember dialup?

Yep, I remember dialup and when the best speed you could get was 300bits per second. I had the experience of having to use such a connection to upload my dissertation to a university mainframe. The five files, which totaled about 140kB, took several hours to upload. Then I had to make arrangements to use the ONLY daisy-wheel printer on the entire campus (laser printer did not yet exist) to print all 108 pages. That took quite a while as well. The whole thing was written using an Apple II+ computer equipped with a monochrome, 40 column display that only showed upper-case characters. And that was considered wonderful in comparison to using a typewriter. Anyone remember those?
Studio 588 currently offers more than 2200 different HD and QD quicksand videos and has supported production of well over 2400 video scenes and other projects by 20 different producers. Info may be found at:

So who's #1? Color me curious, because I have no idea how to determine that...

According to the "Members" page, linked to from the "Quick links" in the upper left part of these pages, Kookus is the first member, and the 54'th most prolific poster at the time of this posting. You can sort it in order of date joined, number of posts, rank (and # of posts), and by username. Looks like I am the 198'th member, and am the 11'th most prolific poster at the time of this posting.

PM2K, looks like you are 98'th member, and the 1'st most prolific poster.
