Quicksand Fans Discord Group?

Discord is a bit different, its a real time chat client. Not a forum. It would be cool since our chat client for this forum went down, and doesn't look like it'll return. So this is a good substitute for the time being. And the best thing about Discord is that its free and constantly updated.

This was not immediately obvious to me. Yes, a real time chat client would be nice. I doubt I would frequent it, but it would be nice to jump into a live chat occasionally. I still remember the old Internet Relay Chat (IRC) #WAMChat from the late 1990s for the wet-and-messy (WAM) community that posted on alt.sex.fetish.wet-and-messy. My god, that feels like a million years ago, so my recollection of exact names and dates should not be trusted. I rarely stepped "in channel" in those days, either, but I enjoyed it when I did.

If it's something you want to do then there's not much to be gained by asking around here. Go do it. I'm sure there's a lot about it that I'm not aware of and I expect that applies across my age group.It's probably a lot more mobile device friendly. Could be that we are missing something here. Over the decades there have been other web sites for this fetish too numerous to count. The vast majority of users show up to get something for free and if you can provide something that others don't then it might stick. Right now there are three surviving community pages that I can think of - Quicksandfans.com - Quicksandland.com - and Deepsinking.org. DS does not permit anything remotely adult while QSF and QSL are more producer-centric. I'd suggest you find a niche within our niche that these sites do not fill and pursue it. Otherwise it's just another duplication of effort that will go the way of all the others.

Actually, it's just more along the lines of wanting to finally come out of my shell and actually interact with people who also have a quicksand fetish so I can stop being so ashamed of myself for having it.

I just chose discord cause it's a great place for a small group to have a conversation (again, I'm kinda shy so a group would help.) I just found out that there is actually already a big discord group for this forum, but it's very quiet and no one ever uses it. I just thought it would be a fun idea to have a smaller group chat for people who are interested.

Why not just point us to that existing site, and explain to us how it works?

If it is large but quiet, it should still satisfy your needs if you can get more of us to participate.

I am game to learn new things.

It does support live audio, but not video. However they are planning on adding live video and should hopefully be implemented within the next few months or so.
