Thanks a lot for your thoughts everybody. :D

Actually, my first chemo treatment got pushed back a week and should happen sometime on Monday or Tuesday. Right now the biggest problems are we're still trying to find the right amount and combo of pain drugs to allow me to get a decent nights sleep. For the records, I just woke up and last night was not bad. :)

The next pain in the ass thing is the my car just died. I think it's the alternator. The thing that really pisses me off is if I can't get the damn thing started I'll have to shell out even more money just to get it toed about 10 miles to my mechanic, which is the only guy around who I trust with my car.

Life goes on, sort of... ;)

I was lucky in that chemo didn't make me feel sick or anything. Just hair loss, and having to sit in a chair for 7.5 hours. I started to notice it coming out after the second session.

Morphine did nothing for me. It never does. They ended up giving me Dilauded (dee-law-did). Man, that did the trick. https://www.rxlist.com/dilaudid-drug.htm

I hope yours sessions go as well as it can, and with as little unpleasantness as possible. This will work. Be strong!

I am mostly just a lurker around here but i have to say something considering that i have enjoyed your work tremendously over the years and you ask nothing for it in return.

From your post you seem to be pretty zen about the whole thing,, i really wouldn't know how i would react as it sounds extremely scary.

I wish you all the best in your treatments, Sending you love and support in these trying times. Keep up the fight !
