Coolest track I ever saw in a muddy spot was a bear track. I was headed for a muddy spot I knew in a gravel pit, and scared a large animal off into the brush. Thought it was just a dog or something until I saw the bear track. As I watched the bear track, it filled up with water.
Not a big ol' ba'ar, jest a lil' ol' bruin. Probably didn't weigh 300 pounds.

And here is an impression left by a large animal beside my Crescent Road pond sinking spot (upper left of my sinking spot; click on picture to enlarge), taken on what may have been my final day of sinking for the year (after a month of cold, wet weather, the sunnier, warmer, drier weather has finally returned, but the only viable sinking spot, the Harris Creek slide area, is too risky during hunting season, and other bogs would now be likely flooded, the mud/water temperatures would now be frigid, and I have a lot of work to get caught up on at home, anyways):

Deer on the left....and a BIG fucking cat following it on the right. Do you guys have Cougars up there? Looks way too big for a Bobcat.

That is a REALLY cool shot Boggy. Leaves me wondering which animal went first, the deer or the cat. Those are some pretty hefty cat prints. I don't think I'd wanna have a run-in with that while up to my waist in mud.
