Hello:

It was a dried lakebed in the southwest.
(Arizona? California?)
There was a long write-up in one of the
tabloid newspapers. It might be findable
via the Google books search.
A friend with considerable mud/QS
experience once told me about a bad few
hours in the silt of a dried out alkali lake.
Might be *unusual* stuff.

I wish I could remember where it was off hand. It's been a while since I read that article.

Hey, that's not any real problem. Not your job to find me mud to play in, and I'm no further away for reading your original post. ;-)

I wasn't yelling at you, just venting. When I have a job, I'm too busy to go looking for mud. Without a job, I have no money to get to the mud, even when I can find it. Just one of those things in life I'll need to learn to live with. ;-)

This just came to me. I read a response on youtube from a gal that said she went into some quicksand once on a bet while her boyfriend watched. She spent like THREE hours in it. She said it took like an hour to sink to her chest and the rest of the time for her boyfriend to get her out.

Would be interesting to hear the story from that boyfriend. Very likely he reads this. ;)

So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
