My body is very confused. It's still arctic cold here, with huge piles of snow- but I can FEEL spring coming.

But it is March, and I've checked sites as early as late March in the past. And certainly I'll find out something in April!

No models will be in the mud until perhaps mid-June, though. Even if a whole round of new Wader-Videos featuring Real Models would be popular, I am not really up to navigating an uninitiated young lady through the frosty cattails and the under-mud ice shelves.

Every time I see a little bit of sunlight I think spring's here...and then it's not.

On the bright side: Casting my videos isn't exactly a rush job yet.

I kinda thought it was here too recently, mid to upper 60's. Then I went out last night and did a "little" night sinking in a place I just found and I was indeed reminded, it's not quite spring here either, cooooold toes. But is is getting closer.

Suggestion to all in the cold-
If you have the space (a rec room or heated garage; a floor that can handle the weight...) get a 150 gal. stock tank and a couple of sacks of peat (or 100lbs of bentonite...), and fill tank with the afore mentioned plus water to a nice warm temp....
That'll chase the sinkin' blues away for a while.... :)

Note: works better if you have a tankless water heater.

The used peat makes good mulch....

Yeah Fred, that's close but who would ever be crazy enough to try it? 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

I'm not getting into ANY mudpit if Charlie Sheen is in it! I don't like mouthy sink partners!
