Don't worry about being nosy Sarah, we're all here to share what we are comfortable with. Me personally I've only told (in person) my wife and thankfully that has turned out great. She has since rapidly grown interested in watching different videos from several producers and loved them all and has also discussed actually going out and sinking in mud for me should the opportunity ever present itself. Now regarding actual experience with sinking, I have none. Speaking from a male viewer stand point, ever since discovering the wealth of quicksand/mud videos I have always had a relatively simple taste in scenes. My favorite scenes have always been of actresses in either bikinis or lingerie struggling and sinking slowly in thick clay/mud. Now I feel it may be more common for viewers to (understandably) prefer the "realistic" scenes of women more properly dressed considering the environment as well as the actress sinking quickly rather than slowly, but for me, the quicksand fetish has always been more of a damsel in distress fantasy, or an escape from reality in other words. Call me crazy, but I can't get enough of the simple scenario of an attractive lady that's wearing a sexy bikini or lingerie for no reason who then happens to fall knee deep into quicksand and slowly sink and struggle her way down. I still enjoy the more complex scenes with the actresses wearing different outfits, but the simple stuff is my bread and butter. It really is kinda hard to explain in better words the attraction of this, sorry if my explanation is a tad bit vague.

SarahI am actually really surprised at how much quicksand modeling has become so popular with all these young ladies throughout the years. it has really taken off. so many pits. Hoping i can find a damsel in the near future that loves to sink in quicksand/mud more than i do then maybe id be more open to share my fetish . I always thought it would be a lot of fun to do a run & jump into a pit but unfortunately in my experience the surrounding areas of the pit aren't ideal for running. They're usually muddy or watery. Although, there is one place in particular now that I think of it that is surrounded by a bog so that might be easier. I just thought it would be a lot of fun to run & jump right in I'm not sure I'd want to run & jump & have it go over my head though. That's kind of scary. I feel like it might be difficult to get out of which I know is appealing to some of you but I do value my life after all

I've never shot a night sink but DIDVP and I have discussed this recently so you will be seeing that in the future. The day time gives me false sense of security as if bugs or other weird things don't exist during the day time haha. I know that for a fact is not true but I try to pretend that as best I can sometimes.

Hi Sarah! My personal fantasy is primarily the "damsel in distress" scenario. The struggle against the sucking bog is a kind of bondage, and (at least in fantasy) a deadly peril. The hero (me) rescues the damsel and is appropriately rewarded. Another of my favorites is the "say" type of scene, where the model is talking to the camera as if it were a lover, and putting on a quicksand show. I also like scenes where the model is begging the camera for rescue.

Well I was a little nervous about starting a post here because I wasn't sure how it would be perceived plus I've never posted anywhere else besides in the DIDVP section of the forum so I wasn't sure how people would react to it. I actually asked Michael first before I did it if I could haha

I think it's very common to enjoy videos that are "non conventional". I believe that's what most fantasies are and that's why they are so enjoyable because it's not the normal situation. I like to do things wearing just pantyhose but I mean honestly, who is ever *really* just wandering around anywhere in *just* pantyhose haha

No worries at all about asking. We've been discussing the topic among ourselves for ages.
Overall, we're a pretty friendly bunch here gathered because of a mutual interest in deep mud and quicksand. You may notice reading through the various topics and discussions posted around here there is a wide variety of what "works" for people when it comes to the topic, as varied as people are. Some it is all about the costume, or lack thereof; others prefer erotic content over peril, or vice versa.... some like happy endings, others grim ones, and the list goes on.

I'm more of a peril type, in which the models state of dress/undress matters only in the context of the situation she finds herself in. I do like my cliches... jungle girl meets quicksand is one I never tire of, for instance.
I also prefer grim endings, but usually reserved to those who deserve it... a natural justice thing where the villainess thinks she is getting away, but doesn't.... perfect example being the Hound of the Baskervilles, the Hammer Films version (1959) where the bad girl, after trying to lure Henry Baskerville to his doom, and tries to stab Holmes, attempts to escape across the moor, and ends up in the Grimpen Mire...

As for why this sort of thing fascinates me... now that is a mystery. Like others here, I've always been fascinated by the concept of quicksand since childhood... I remember thinking about it when I was four, a vague memory of being worried about adding sand to my wading pool and turning it into quicksand. Yet that concern never stopped me from looking for it whenever I had the chance... when I was in grade school, a playmate and I used to spend hours playing in shallow shoals of quicksand in a nearby creek close to the edge of town, and in some of the deeper muddy areas elsewhere. I knew friends who were terrified of being swallowed up by quicksand... and they were good swimmers. The funny thing is, I can't swim, yet sinking in qs was something I was looking for... and continue to do so.

Until I found the community in 1998, I thought I was the only one out there with this "quirk" of breathlessly wading through hours of bad cinema in the hope of a quicksand scene.... or, knowing a movie had it, excited when I knew such a scene was coming up. The funny thing is the sexy side of it never occurred to me until I started reading the erotic fiction of qs community members... now, that is locked into my brain. There remains something exciting about someone being trapped and helplessly sinking to their doom... but I really can't explain why it worked for me.... it's likely a combo of the sensation of mud and sand, plus the peril, which connects within me to the point I write about it and do cartoon photo-manipulations - posting them here... and try to snag all photos, artwork and film clips of scenes I can.

Maybe some things are just unexplainable, but I'm comfortable with that.

While not the most common question, this comes up again and again; and as you have seen from previous responses, most of us are more than happy to share.

I’m not likely to cover any ground that the previous posters haven’t already gone over, but I’m feeling chatty.

What is it about quicksand/mud that you enjoy so much?

The helplessness of the victim. I am a huge DiD and bondage fetishist (really into cocooning/mummification). But quicksand adds a twist. It’s a trap, the “victim” is typically unaware of it until they are in it. And once past a certain point, usually when they realize just what they have got themselves into, it’s going to be a long struggle to get free or a long struggle ending in certain doom. In a bondage DiD scenario, the damsel isn’t really helpless until the villain has her hands and feet tied at the very least. When she wanders into that bottomless hollywood quicksand, she’s in serious trouble if not already helpless while still only knee deep with a long way to go.

What do you personally get from either being in it or watching others in it? Is it purely sexual or is it something more?

I haven’t been in it since I was eleven years old and I was a late bloomer, so I can’t really speak to being in it. But when I see anyone in it in a dramatic situation, my heart pounds, I gasp, my brain freezes up. When I was little I would hide behind the seats when it happened at the movies or on TV, even in a comedy situation. Later as a bored teenager, Tarzan’s Hidden Jungle is on (back when UHF stations showed old movies instead of infomercials), and once Janet is hip deep, struggling and sinking, I realize I am more turned on than even the pilfered copy of Juggs hidden under the bed had ever made me. I kept that secret until around 1994 or so I discovered the MPV BBS, that I wasn’t the only one, if I was really a sicko at least I would have company, and here I am.
