I wonder if the packaging lists the ingredients...

Since it's 98% sand, the real magic we're witnessing here is just a small amount of whatever liquid is binding it. Would it be impossible to uncover the formula?

Say the formula were uncovered, and it turns out to be fairly easy/inexpensive to replicate. Then would it be out of the question to perhaps add it to a life-sized pit? What if it could be added to other material besides just sand? Like clay or peat or what have you.

They cannot find a way in but they do discover, accidentally, a dump of reject batches in the grounds behind the factory.
Approved! I (personally) would prefer to see two hired ninja girls instead of the business women, but it is just me.

Search for "polydimethylsiloxane" and see what you learn.

One of my physics colleagues said this is the secret behind the substance.

I did a couple days ago. I work with a bunch of chemical engineers. Stay tuned. ;)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Okay, when Duncan unlocks the formula, I will be expecting great things from our producers.

Meanwhile, here's a plot idea that I already had in mind that I now probably won't ever get a chance to film:

"Quicksand Voodoo"

Model #1 has a bucket of kinetic sand and a Barbie or some other adult-looking, sexy doll (they do exist, mostly for the collector market), preferably fully-jointed for a maximum number of interesting positions.

Model #2 is near an actual pit of quicksand.

Model #1 is mad at Model #2. She casts a voodoo spell and Model #2 loses control over her actions, as in, if Model #1 makes the doll jump, Model 2 must jump. And if she sticks a pin into the doll, Model #2 cries out in pain.

Okay, we have a bucket of kinetic sand and an actual quicksand pit...when Model #1 begins to play with her doll, you now can fill in the rest of the plot in your imaginations.

I reserve the right to film this myself someday should the course of my life change.

Found this today. At $15 for 2.2 lbs of this stuff, obviously I realize there is no way it would be even remotely financially feasible for a producer to fill a pit with it (although I'm certain I would gladly pay buku bucks for a scene featuring this substance), but I can't help but wonder what it would look and feel like.

A man can dream though.

some pound shops here have been selling small pots of 'shrek sand' and another generic one. it aint as smooth as magic sand but is dry while having a weird squishy 'shrek swamp' feel
