One day, back when I was a sailor in the US navy, our ship visited Munama Bahrain. While there, I took a taxi ride. The driver told me of how he wanted to travel to Karachi, because "They have great bricks of hashish there!".

Honestly, having seen part of Karachi, I was not inclined to go back. LOADS of poor people there.
