Surely someone is already selling anti-drone drones?
Either with some sort of chaff/anti-drone weaponry, electro-magnetic pulse weapons or at the very least a very ornery paintball gun?

Sure, I'm joking.... for now.
But surely as drones become significantly prolific there will be anti-drone solutions available to us lowly consumers?

Dang! Sounds like a hell of a lot of fun to me! Might need a fixed-wing craft to chase them down, but if you can pilot it by looking through the onboard camera that might make it easier. I'm thinking the guts from a couple of CO2 pistols converted to full auto mounted in the nose or under the wings.

If I spot a drone overhead my response will be to wave.

Now, that does sound like fun. Hehe

For sure though, in my neck of the woods, doing 'nothing' would be bad for several reasons.

No jammers available yet - for civilian use. I would be getting into finger -breaking territory for what the other guys have I think

Jamming could screw up flight input, and possibly the downlink, if the jamming was not directional. But you would have to screw up the GPS and possibly even the gyros to keep it from flying straight back to 'daddy' once communications are compromised. These things are fucking clever if not flimsy as shit.

The best thing is a shotgun, of course. But I think I would keep the pellet size modest. Those things are going to come down somewhere.

And then, consider the flip side of the coin. Drones can be our friend as well. A sinker can head to an extensive area worthy of exploration, launch a drone with a transmitting camera, and explore the area from the air, to locate any spots of interest, seeing if any mud is exposed. After finishing the aerial recon, the sinker can then head directly to those spots, if any were found, to test them out. 8-)
I sink, therefore I WAM!!!!

I think the spying concerns are overblown (for now). The models that can take good footage and have the range to do what you're worried about cost a shit ton of money. Unless it was really obviously filming me over my own private property I wouldn't try shooting it down. May be rude but it's perfectly legal to film people in public.

Joe is, of course, perfectly correct here. Even if it IS on private property one is responsible for any damage that might be caused from an action taken (such as a spent round hitting an innocent party).
