I think it's actualy not the feeling of death but the feeling of fatality that is so exciting. And i think these two feelings are very different.

Yes that is part of the point. I would think more of the feeling of “risk”.

I'm not a big fan of submersions, although I do appreciate and enjoy that one is imminent in a scene.

And I think that FFoxX is onto something with his distinction. For me, the word 'Lethality' fits better than 'Fatality'. In any case, the theme is not death. I don't actually visualize anything happening under the surface, but that idea that the situation is inescapable adds to the appeal.

I know it's different for everyone. But this discussion (and I generally don't like to 'think too much') has gotten to the point where I feel able to explain my personal thought process better.

This whole phenomenon is very complex. One of the main aspects of it is the extreme polarity between glamour lady and raw mud. And then there is inherent question - will she make it or not? Something like the russian roulete. Another aspect is the fatality of raw nature which we hardly experience in our daily lives. And the feeling of lethality could be sexualy stimulating in itself.

I do so agree with Jon Smith I like the excitement ,the risk & the feeling of sinking into deep mud. My fetish wants me to get permanently stuck but so far I have settled for "nearly permanent" Just for the record I enjoy submersion,enjoy submersion videos & am turned right off by Grim videos A simple soul I am not lol

I used to question my fetish. But that was before the Internet came along. I used to think I was the only one who had this weird preoccupation of sinking in mud. But the Internet showed me that I'm not even remotely close. Not by a long shot. I thoroughly enjoy sinking. I also enjoy exploring for new places to sink even though I have some of the best mud around here that I've ever found anywhere. And plenty of it too. My only wish is that there were more people around here in NE Florida that were as interested as I am. At least willing enough to admit it and join in on some sinking fun. I say that because not only is there some really great mud around for sinking, but its plenty ample and deep enough that I can't reach bottom even when going completely under.
