Quicksand Fans

Hi all. I just moved to Orlando recently and I checked the map of all the spots and there's nothing marked for Orlando. Maybe someone else knows where a good place is?

Unfortunately in Orlando all you can look for is new construction where they have to put in a drainage pond. Don't know why but as they dig these and have the pumps pulling water out of them you can find some of the greatest clingy mud to sink in. But in years past I have also noticed that gators are getting closer to the action

Idk about directly in Orlando, but I definitely know there are amazing spots over by Kelly Park. But just driving around you'll see dried up lakes that may or may not have a good location.

Which Kelly Park? The one in Apopka or Meritt Island?

Check the retention pond behind the woods at Horseshoe Lake in Ocala for bottomless peat.

If you want to try out the Intercostal, there's tons of great bottomless tidal mud!

The good mud is somewhere near Fort Mead at a phosphate mine...

Actually, the good mud is along the Intercoastal between Jacksonville and Saint Augustine. Its more than plentiful and plenty deep enough that you won't touch bottom. Its also sticky as molasses so it holds you down firm in it's grasp, making it a struggle to free yourself. Just watch the tides.
