For those who don't know me, I write a lot of stories.

For those who know me, I write a lot of stories.

The problem I've come across is that I'm spending less time writing, due to other commitments. I still have the writing streak in me and I've got several works in progress, but given time constraints and fluctuating interest, I'm indecisive about where to go from here. Naturally, I try to push the boundaries of creative work within our community, but I'm all for quick, easy and satisfying reads.

So, for those of you who read my work, I pose the question: should I focus on weaving stories with intricate plots (for example, my current work in progress is a tech thriller involving virtual reality) or pump out shorter, well-executed stories with my style of writing on a more frequent basis?

I voted for short and simple, because it's been quite a while since I've read one of those from you. But the answer should actually be: both. I would not want you to abandon either one entirely in favor of the other.

Well said! :D I agree totally with Aiko. Just keep writing as the creative spirit moves you. :)

Actually, some of the stores I have had the most feedback on are the short ones. As to my taste, I like both.
