Screaming

I have several QS videos and I can't help noticing the lack of screaming (ala Mina Lee in "The Jewel of Doom"). If these women are sinking to their doom there should be screams of terror and tears of desperation. Comments?

That's pretty much a matter of personal taste. Some like that, some don't. Me personally, I'm not a fan of women screaming excessively. This purely a fantasy for me and I don't it to appear real. The models that act the scene out that way make it appear real, and that's not meant to insult their performance, but that's not particularly what I want to see. I'm sure there are plenty of others that would agree with you though.

I like it to be as real as possible. Scream, beg, plead, promise anything ("yeah, okay, I'll paint your damn house!" ask me if you don't know what I'm talking about  ). Not overacting, mind you, but I know what I'd if I were a woman hopelessly caught in quicksand (you'd hear me two counties over).

There are some instances where a location isn't ideal for screaming, because someone else in the general area might actually hear it and come to help for real!

Ah, the Jewel of Doom. Still my favourite after all these years. I LOVE it when Skylar is forced under.

I would love to see people's reaction to running up to a scene being filmed. I would definitely pay to see that. The look of  on their face would be priceless.

When it comes to movies and stuff like that I honestly don't mind hearing people screaming when they're in quicksand but if I were to hear someone screaming for real that they were in quicksand I would probably rush over to them to get them out.

I remember the first time I got turned on listening to a lady scream. I think it was Barbara Steele tied to a post in some old Hammer horror flick on tv and I was 12 or 13. She was screaming her head off and I was really grooving on it.
Screaming has to be done correctly. If it's too shrill or to long it just becomes annoying and I can't wait for them to go under, burn up, get their throat cut, whatever. I've been in the presence of screaming that just freaking hurts to listen to. Real buzzkill for me. Needs to be brief and throaty and sounds like they mean it and not just for the sake of screaming.

Exactly! :D

Screaming can really enhance a scene, or force you to reach for the mute button for all the reasons Duncan described.

Some models are very loud, others are almost mute. I think, in a realistic scenario if a woman is sinking deep in peat bog she has to scream hysterically. When a woman drowns in quicksand (I mean, a model submerges in a quicksand video) she would likely scream to insanity. I can't believe she can just show surprise and disappointment as if she was preparing to drown in quicksand for all her life.

However, if a woman is just stuck and struggles to get out she most likely would not scream constantly. She would struggle a bit, then scream a bit, then have a short rest because a woman with no superpowers would not be able to struggle for long. The quicksand would very quickly suck all her strength out of her.
