Homemade Quicksand Idea?!

Hello Quicksand community!
So recently, I've been doing a lot of research, and brain storming, on making my own quicksand pit! Since I live in Chicago, where there are barely and sinking locations, I decided to make an effort and gather some ideas on how I can make my own quicksand!
I know many of you will tell me to just "grab a shovel and dig a hole". But the problem is that the forest near my area has a lot of roots, and rocks, which literally make it ALMOST impossible to dig a hole! Not to mention that fact that this takes a long time to do this! In addition, the spot that I found has way too many rocks now and I always get cut up while trying to sink!
So I've devised TWO ideas for those who are also faced with a similar situation!
My first idea was to purchase an inflatable bath tub! These inflatable bathtubs are kind of pricey (http://www.amazon.com/Adult-SPA-Inflata ... B00BQ7FX08), but they seem to be A LOT cheaper than your average bathtub at lowes ($800 to $1000!!!)! These are also VERY portable and extremely easy to set up as well! I was thinking about purchasing this and also purchasing some tarp, to put on the ground, to prevent any foreign objects from puncturing the tub!
My other idea, which is a lot cheaper, is just purchasing an large garbage can and filling it with clay! Sort of like a vat! xP The only problem with this though is being able to get out of the bin! I feel like it would impossible to pull myself out!
What do you guys think? Any other suggestions or ideas? Let me know! xD
