Quicksand Fans

so the raritan river looks promising. Where the garden state parkway passes over it at mile marker 119.9 looks like an amazing spot if someone can get there to check it out. I will eventually but not for a few weeks at Least. looks like bottomless thick mud.

That's not the Raritan River. More likely it's Whale Creek.

Seems like all good spots are hundreds or thousands of miles away. I'd love to check it out, but unfortunately it isn't cheap to drive from Oregon to New Jersey because of gas, hotels, etc.

When you check out that mud, tell us what it's like, it already sounds interesting.

Oh, Well is it a good spot? I wanna take ashly there for a video but I don't want to waste an hour drive for Nothing.

Never tried it out. I'd look into who owns the land there, if anyone(someone very likely does) and maybe do a recce of the area before trying anything.

I am from central jersey. I see that spot a lot when i drive past on the parkway. That is actually part of Cheesequake Park. There are trails that can lead you out there but I'm not sure exactly. You have to watch the tides coming in. I have been curious also. There is a park off exit 109 poricy park that definitely has some good mud. If I do a run there one day, I will let you know.

Hey man as soon as you know let us know. we are looking to film thus week and in 3 weeks so if that spot is awesome Well head there asap

Ok, hopefully I will get out there for a run this week. Poricy Park Exit 109 is in the back. Hard to find, but a small park. Cheesequake I'm not sure how to get to those mudflats but there are paths. I would have to do some exploring during my run. I was supposed to meet up with another girl in the area years ago there, but we never got together.

That's well South of me so I haven't been there.
