Comes up again. Anybody with long memory of MPV notes it was started as a BBS service. Bulletin board and such and now, years and years later we have not only the websites but THIS FORMAT which brings us full circle back to a modern form of the BBS. Weird.

I'm not sure there is a "circle" at all. With the exception of the "onelist" site, which, as I recall was an email-based system, we have had some sort of bulletin board system pretty much all the time. The software has changed but a system whereby members can post and respond to posts is essentially a bulletin board.
