Quicksand Fans

I've recently purchased a nice jib, and it occurred to me that I now have the perfect tool to do a subjective sinking scene.

At least as a proof of concept, there won't be any actual quicksand, but certainly there will be a muddy puddle. An attractive model with muddy legs will stand on the edge and watch as the camera sinks slowly from 6' to 0'. Submersion will be digitally faked.

Would that float anyone's boat here?

I don't know that it would do much for me personally but the experiment is too good to pass up. You never know what you, or others, might learn from it.

Scripts written: check.
Model recruited: check.
Initial meeting and readthru: check.
Attack of giddiness after hearing my words spoken by the model: check.
Rehearsal and test footage location event scheduled: check.
Actual shoot scheduled: check.
Customized hardware design and implementation: in progress.

Cool! There are some fetishes where people like to watch a model (on video or in person) abuse and humiliate them. This might be a good "cross-over."
I have toyed with the idea of shooting a scene like this- except in my case, I have a cheap GoPro knockoff with a waterproof case and a headband mount. No need to put the submersion in digitally, and the victim can look up at their tormenter, down at the bog, or anywhere.
Am also thinking about doing a video where the model gets in the bog with the "victim" but it is all shot from the POV of the victim. One's final image in life might be that of a pair of ample, muddy breasts sinking into a bog just in front of one's face- what a way to go.

Snuck up to the site with a battery-powered weedeater this morning. Cleared a patch for our rehearsal & test shoot tomorrow. Woohoo!!!!
