It may have been said many times before, but I'm going to say it again: thank you for creating this community forum!

I'm a new member to the forum, but not a rookie in sinking into deep mud. I started sinking in high school and found the experience to be so erotic, that I often sink nude to feel the pressure of the mud on every inch of my body (hence, my user name!). Back then, there was no community like this. I felt like a complete freak and I was alone with my absolute obsession. Every sink was an endless cycle of feeling that deep need and butterflies in my stomach as I approached my sinking spot (added it to the Google map!), feeling the complete bliss and ecstasy of the sink, cleaning up, and feeling completely ashamed of myself the walk back.

After I joined the military, I haven't done much sinking, but now my wet dreams always involve wallowing or crawling through deep mud. I hardly have ones about sex like "normal people". The need was, and still is, a part of me and always will be. It wasn't until about eight years ago when I finally did some online research to see if I was really alone in this or if there were others like me. That's when I learned what WAM was and saw all of the MPV YouTube clips, Boggyman (a true legend!), Damsels In Distress, and many others that enjoy this as much as I do, or at least create content catered to the community. It was a weight off my shoulders to find out I wasn't alone!

So I want to say thank you again! And since this is my first post, let me introduce myself a bit. I'm a 35 year old military member currently in the Maryland area. I've been in the military for almost 16 years and have been married to my wife for 7 of them. My wife is amazing. I told her about my fetish around the time we were engaged and she not only stuck with me but has been very supportive. Maybe I'll convince her to come with me on a sinking trip, but I doubt it. The times I have sank in deep mud were always in one spot, but I'm looking for some spots in Maryland, so I'm a bit new to branching out and finding new locations. Any tips are welcome. Thanks again! I'm happy to be home!

You're very welcome. :)

A lot of what you wrote about is the idea behind maintaining a cohesive internet home for folks like us.

As it happens, Quicksandfans just quietly passed its eighth birthday. The forum seems just as solid and vibrant as it ever has.

The real thanks really should go to all of the folks who contribute their time and creative energy by posting here. That effort is what makes this a true community.
