An Introduction and Wetsuit Sinking

Hey there!

Just wanted to do a little introduction and trip report of my first mud experience here. I am a guy in my 20s who lives in Denver. Because Denver is basically a desert, I have had to come up with some creative ways to get muddy.

Last week I was feeling a little desperate, and I rode my Mtn Bike to a lake that I knew had some little ponds and inlets. After a 7 mile ride, I was disapointed to see that the water levels were too high for any mud. The rain was coming, and I had to start heading back to the car. On my way back, I passed a field of reeds and decided to take a look around...thats when I saw the jackpot.

There was a 10'X18' area or dried up pond. My heart raced, it was the perfect spot! I felt like my old 14 year old self. I got off my bike, looked for a large rock, and threw it in the center. *GLURP*. It was a nice spot of soupy, slimy, thick black pond mud. I wanted to just jump in at that moment...but it was still a little too light out, and i had no way of cleaning up.

I biked as fast as I could to my car, and drove as quick as I could to my house. I grabbed my full smooth skin wetsuit, booties, and neoprene dry gloves. I also grabbed a liter bottle of pre mixed Jlube. If you dont know what jlube is, it is a powder that you mix with water, and it makes gallons of the thickest, slimiest, slick slime/lube you can imagine.

I grabbed my gear, checked the clock, and made sure I would have plenty of time. I was OK, 80 mins to sunset. Parked back at the trailhead, and started my journey back to the pond. I was so excited. My dry bag full of gear made the ride even more difficult, but the adrenline kept me going.

I finally got to the sight, checked my watch, and saw I had about 15 mins to sunset. I carried my bike behind a thick field of brush to where I knew no one would be able to see me. I aggressively stripped off my clothes, and grabbed my wetsuit. I took the bottle of jlube, and coated the inside of the legs with the slick slime. My feet slid right out the bottom! Once i got the legs on, I pulled the rest of the suit up to my shoulders. I stopped myself, and poured more of the jlube inside the wetsuit and filled the crotch area (im sure you get why ;) ). I got my arms through, and then sealed myself in by pulling the gloves over the sleeve of the suit.

I was so excited! I could feel the jlube slide around, and my, ahem, go from left to right with every step. I stepped toward the pond, and sunk to my knee! It was so soft, yet goopy and slick. Without even thinking, i just dove in, and felt the front half of my body sink right in. I didnt even care about the pond smell. I tried to sit myself back upright, but my hands went right to the bottom, elbow deep. I just rolled around more and more until i was totally covered. I mixed up the mud, and humped it until I had an amazing finish. The combination of the jlube in the suit, and the slimy mud on the outside, provided an insanly slick experience.

Clean up was a snap. I simply peeled off the wetsuit like a banana, leaving it inside out so the mud was on the inside. I packed up my gear, and started my bike ride to the car.

Its Been years since i found mud, and i was so happy to find a spot right in denver!

If anyone in the area would like to meet, feel free to contact me!

enjoyed your description & would so like to have a smoothskin suit Like getting into mud in my (neoprene) suit & find the clean up is pretty easy-in the river- but can understand you have a problem if no water available Don't put j-lube etc in my suit but its an idea I might try

Dito here. Welcome aboard and feel free to post more stories of your sinking or photos of the spots you use (or yourself if you want to)
I have also a liking for tight suits but stick to really long, shoulder-high waders and rainwear. Depending on how I wear that gear I can stay either dry and relatively clean or I just let the mud flood my waders (maybe similar to that stuff you did tell about).
Have fun here!

i wear a wetsuit because the peatbogs are high up and generally chilly even in mid summer,.. also i gotta admit that nice high thigh waders or chestwaders in a peat bog make for an awsome struggle, especially if worn in conjunction with a nice thick heavy rubber drysuit, once that mud starts to flood in, you go down like a concrete block - or ill just wear a nice pair of heavy dunlop purofoots along with my wetsuit which is also fun

Thanks for the welcome.

Id love to find a peat bog around here, but the soil in Colorado just doesnt allow for deep mud. There have been many times where I thought I found a good spot, but once stepping in, found that it was only an inch or so deep.

I used to live in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I didnt search hard enough to go looking for mud...which is a shame because I know that area is prime for peat bogs and swamps. Back in Wisconsin, when I was younger and living in a farming region, I would have to play in ponds on farms...which was usually slury and was very difficult to clean.

I have spotted a few quarries in Colorado, but the slurry ponds are just so hard to access. I am also hitting a point in my life where I dont want to end up in a newspaper for a fetish! There is one on the sinking map I actually drove past last night, but it would require hiking down a river, and walking a good 1/4 mile through brush to reach the mud.

Id love to travel and meet others though! Id even be willing to fly to Europe (lots of mud kinksters there it seems). After watching all of the videos from others after all these years, it would be great to experience the real thing.
