Missing Element

Postby MDLambert » Mon Dec 25, 2017 10:34 pm

I want to first say, this is in no way a slight against any producer of content in the QS community. I enjoy all of the content and have been a Club member off and on for a long time. There is just one aspect to a scene that I would be interested in that doesn't to my knowledge happen to appear in any clips that I am aware of. Please feel free to enlighten me if I have happen to miss any. The element I would like to see is akin much to the Nightmare on Elm St. scene, in which a villain would use there foot to slowly push the victim under. Preferably a female antagonist, the dramatic effect and impact on the scene is what I'm looking for. The implementation of including this in a scene maybe to difficult but I would like to hear the producers insight. I know a few scenes have an shoulder pushing and maybe a hand push in the old serial killer clay pit from long ago. I'm looking for a fully standing character, stepping and taunting the said victim until the go under. I could also see a few combo scenes or reversal scenes being derived from this situation. Thanks to anyone that took the time to read this, again my compliments to all the producers.

First, I think you are correct that there no such scene. There is none from Studio 588 anyway.

While it could probably be done, there are some technical reasons it would be difficult. The sides of most of my pits are, for the most part, not perfectly vertical. An effect of this is that it would be quite difficult for the character on the shore to actually reach, with her foot, the shoulder of the character sinking without falling in. There may be a few spots where this is not so but it would require very precise choreography. The edges, of the clay pit especially, are also quite slippery, compounding the issue. A solution to both issues might be to construct some sort of prop that would allow the dry character to be in a position more immediately adjacent to the sinking one, such as a prop fallen log or plank.

It might be possible to produce a scene of this type in the so-called "Gallium Polykryptonite pit, where some of the sides are vertical. There are some scenes in which one character pushes the other under, but from a position of also being in the mud.

No such scene springs to my memory but this is the kind of thing producers enjoy hearing. Anybody else got any other missing elements they would like to see out there?
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.
